I am a current 5th year student at UC San Diego majoring in Communication and minoring in Chinese studies. In my communication studies, one of the most interesting topics that intrigued me was the study of children's media. As you will see from my posts, there are a lot of controversial elements in children's media that many people overlook but should be aware of. In this blog, I will depict influences of children's media, especially in areas of new media determinism, stereotyping, Disney, interactivity, hegemony, identity, and death of childhood.
